Provincial Eating Disorders Awareness Campaign (PEDAW)
The Provincial Eating Disorders Awareness (PEDAW) campaign is held during the first week of February every year. This BC-wide effort is presented by Jessie’s Legacy Eating Disorders Prevention and Awareness program, which is run by Family Services of the North Shore.
Through PEDAW, we work to prevent and promote early intervention of eating disorders, as well as encourage media literacy, resiliency, building a healthy body image, and self-esteem. It’s a powerful week that encourages meaningful and engaging discussions among people of all ages.
You can also join the Love Our Bodies, Love Ourselves movement. Read the blog, follow us on social media, and share your experiences. Everyone is welcome.
