It’s not always easy to tell someone you’re struggling with eating or body image issues, but it’s so important to reach out for help. Start by talking to a parent, teacher or adult you trust. You can also reach out to us by phone or email if you have any questions or are looking for resources and supports in your area.
You can also join the Love Our Bodies, Love Ourselves movement. Read the blog, follow us on social media, and share your experiences. Everyone is welcome, so please encourage your friends to check it out, too.
I’M HERE FOR: MY FRIEND
If someone you care about is struggling, the Jessie’s Legacy website has articles you can read about body image and self-esteem, the influence of media, orthorexia, and more.

I’M HERE FOR: MY STUDENTS OR MY CLIENTS
Jessie’s Legacy provides evidence-based education, resources, and information you can trust. We also have guidelines for how to help when you suspect a student might have an eating disorder, plus information about body image and self-esteem, disordered eating, media literacy and more. We also offer prevention presentations for grades 4-12, get in touch with us to find out more about how we can support our students or clients.
Jessie’s Legacy also presents the annual Provincial Eating Disorders Awareness (PEDAW) campaign. This week-long campaign includes province wide activities, events, and awareness raising through media. Our PEDAW toolkit provides opportunities for schools and other community organizations to get involved and raise awareness about eating disorders.
